Allinge Church

The only yellow-washed church on Bornholm.

 

The church was built as a chapel in 1569 and was extended in 1892. The church, as seen today, is from a restoration in 1992. The baptismal font is from 1890 amd made of moseløkke granite and the floor around the font is made by hammershus granite during the restoration in 1992. In the choir is situated a chandelier from approx. 1650, it is said that it comes from Hammershus.
