The ceramics factory in Lindelse

The brothers Ejler and Viggo Nielsen, who came from Kähler's factory on Zealand, bought Lindelse Keramikfabrik in 1921. Here, they employed more than 10 people producing ceramics signed LK. The factory lost its chimney during a bad storm, fortunately without injury. The factory was demolished in 1960.

Originally, the 1935 house was only on the ground floor with a flat roof and roof terrace. Ejler Nielsen from Lindelse Keramikfabrik was very interested in astrology and had the dome built on the roof in connection with the construction of the first floor. The dome used to be able to rotate to provide a 360-degree view of the starry sky.

Later in the 1960s, ceramics were produced from Ejler Nielsen's workshop at Udkig with the signature ØBO (Øbo-keramik).

Knud Olsen from Lindelse Keramikfabrik later started his own ceramic production in Værkstedsgården on Herslevvej 1.
