For centuries, Kerteminde has lived by and with the sea. You can feel it as you stroll along the harbor, where wooden ships and yachts gently rock side by side. At the heart of the town lies the historic Tornøes Hotel, which has welcomed guests for more than 150 years by the Renaissance harbor – a true piece of Kerteminde history, full of atmosphere and soul. On the opposite side of the harbor, you’ll find Restaurant Rudolf Mathis, offering gourmet experiences with panoramic views of the waves.

Kerteminde is also a haven for art lovers. At the Johannes Larsen Museum, you can experience exceptional art surrounded by beautiful nature and top-class architecture. For the whole family, Fjord & Bælt is a guaranteed hit – here, both young and old can get close to marine animals and learn about life beneath the surface.
Before Setting Course for Nyborg
Kerteminde's harbor exudes life and authenticity. Grab an ice cream, enjoy the view from the waterfront, or take a dip at Kerteminde Søbad, where you can swim with a panoramic view of the Great Belt. Before continuing toward Nyborg, recharge in the town’s cozy center – for example, at Lulu's Café and Boutique, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch or coffee with a view of the harbor. Feel free to bring some provisions for the journey – this stage offers plenty of nature experiences but only a few spots to stop for food and drinks along the way.
