Vejle’s quaint pedestrian street - which extends across Søndergade, Torvegade, Nørregade and Vestergade - and its many side streets offer a wide selection of speciality boutiques door-to-door with high street brand stores and supermarkets.
The street is paved with granite and in certain places inscriptions from the Jelling stone can be seen. Through special "windows" in the pavement you can have a glimpse of the original paving from the Middle age.Søndertorv
At Søndertorv, the Bryggen shopping centre offers 60 stores as well as 700 rooftop parking spaces.
In the northern section of the pedestrian street you find Vejle Midtpunkt with a mix of boutiques and eateries. From April to October, you can experience the brightly coloured umbrella sky. On Saturdays, it’s market day on Nørretorv. During summer, part of Nørretorv is transformed into an urban beach with sun loungers and palm trees.
