Randers Art Museum is a central art museum in Randers, in the middle of the Aarhus region. The museum houses an extensive collection of Danish art from the 1800s to the present day. Here you can explore both historical works and modern expressions that shed new light on the contemporary world.

Sven Dalsgaard's works
A special feature of Randers Art Museum is its large collection of works by Sven Dalsgaard, who has been of great importance to Danish modernism.
Sven Dalsgaard (1914-1999) was a Danish artist with roots in Randers and a prominent figure in Danish modernism. He worked experimentally across painting, graphic art, collage and sculpture and was known for his curious and investigative approach to form and space.
Dalgaard was also inspired by naturalism and surrealism, and he was constantly searching for new forms of expression. Randers Art Museum houses one of the largest collections of his works.
