This fenced dog park in Horsens offers lovely surroundings in the popular city park, Bygholm Park. Due to its central location, this dog park is popular, providing excellent opportunities to meet new four-legged playmates.
About the dog park
The dog park in Bygholm Park is a fenced area of about 1 hectare. Inside the enclosure, there is a picnic table set, but no additional facilities. However, the advantage of being in the park means that there are garbage bins, dog bags, and restrooms nearby.
The dog park is located about 600 meters from the park's large public parking lot, accessible from Bygholm Parkvej. The fenced area is situated on the opposite side of the manor house, behind the old castle mound.
If you arrive on foot from the city center, you can go through the tunnel under the train station and turn right onto the wide manor avenue, Peblingestien. The dog park will be on your left after a few hundred meters.

The dog park in Bygholm Park is occasionally used for dog training. Please be aware that the dog park is not accessible while training is taking place.
Take a stroll in the park
It is highly recommended to take a walk around Bygholm Park. The old manor park is beautifully laid out and serves as a popular green oasis for the city's residents. There are many ducks, geese, and children in the park, along with several cosy corners where you can sit at the provided picnic tables. Bygholm Lake, which extends from the park, also offers a beautiful setting for walks with your dog in green surroundings.
