Meet the wild animals of the Nordic region on Djursland
At the Scandinavian Wildlife Park on Djursland, you can look forward to a day close to nature and the animals that call the Scandinavian landscape home. Here you can see polar bears, brown bears, wolves, white-tailed eagles, foxes, deer, musk oxen and many other animals in large, natural surroundings.
The park is situated between Nødager and Kolind and offers you the chance to get up close to the animals via footbridges, viewing points and engaging commentary from the park’s guides.
Get up close to the polar bears
The polar bears are one of the major highlights at the Scandinavian Wildlife Park. From the footbridge, you can experience these large predators up close and follow them as they move through the enclosure or swim beneath you.
The polar bear is the world’s largest land-based predator, and a large male can weigh over 500 kilos. This makes an encounter with the polar bears an experience that fascinates both children and adults.
New for 2026: Sleep with polar bears in the Polar Bear Cabin
In the Polar Bear Cabin, you can spend the night right next to the polar bear enclosure. The cabin has a panoramic window facing the polar bears, so you can drift off to sleep and wake up to a view of these magnificent animals.
The stay combines a nature experience with educational activities, and the cabin is inspired by Arctic research stations. Here you’ll enjoy a unique overnight stay right in the heart of the wildlife park - close to the tranquillity, the animals and nature.
Predator feeding sessions and live commentary
Plan your visit so that you can catch the predator feeding sessions. During these sessions, the park’s guides explain the animals’ behaviour, senses and strength, whilst you watch them up close.
The feeding sessions make the visit both educational and immersive, offering an insight into the wild animals’ daily lives and natural instincts.
Fun, learning and experiences for the whole family
Scandinavian Wildlife Park is about more than just large predators. You can explore the Nature Trail, hand-feed fallow deer and goats with the park’s own feed, and visit the Barn - an indoor treasure trove of skulls, hides and antlers that children and adults are allowed to touch.
In the centre of the park, there’s also a large playground where children can burn off some energy between animal encounters. When you get peckish, you can visit Café Bjælkehuset, buy ice cream and snacks, or barbecue your own food.
Stay overnight in the park
If you’d like to extend your visit, you can stay overnight at the Scandinavian Wildlife Park. As well as the Polar Bear Hut, the park also offers accommodation in shelters and lavvus, so you can end the day close to nature and wake up to the sounds of the wildlife park.
