Deep Forest Art Land - Skovsnogen

The route takes you through a hilly landscape with a stream, meadows, and traces of the Ice Age. Along the way, the works appear among trees, clearings, and the forest floor, and the character of the experience is constantly changing.

There is always something new to discover. The forest changes with the seasons, and so does the encounter with the artworks. A visit in summer is not the same as a walk in autumn, winter, or spring. Deep Forest Art Land is also a place in motion, where you can follow new works taking shape, and where the Sculpture Graveyard at the end of the route gives older works new life in the forest.

When you arrive, the experience begins at the parking area, where you can get your bearings and pick up an overview map and route guide. A marked trail leads you along one planned path through the forest, and the walk can be divided into two parts, allowing you to choose the length and pace that suit you. The path is gravel-surfaced and can be used on foot as well as with a stroller, wheelchair, and walking stick.

Along the way, there are good opportunities to take a break. At the start and halfway along the route, you will find an accessible composting toilet with changing facilities, and there are seating areas at several points along the route — also under cover if the weather changes. On the way, you will also come across the Skovsnogen playground, and you are welcome to bring a packed lunch or a coffee basket and enjoy your break in the forest.

Deep Forest Art Land is for families with children, tourists, and anyone looking for a different kind of experience in nature. A place worth the drive — and one that can bring the family together around a shared adventure for the day.
